Cannot add spatial index for generated column

Hi all.

I have a stored generated column, creating a POINT from lat and long columns. This is obviously a very common practice.

However, I found that a spatial index cannot be generated for this column because the column cannot be nullable.

But a generated column is always nullable!

This is, in my opinion, something that should be fixed. Especially since the two columns which are generating the point are both not nullable, hence the generated column is not nullable? Surely the server can determine this?
