So here's what I wanted to answer!!!


Yes. Looking at the different ways provided to identify/update the timezone on Windows 10 wasn't of any help. It's currently set at "Eastern Standard Time" (as it should be) and this can also be confirmed by running "tzutil /g" at the command prompt.

Besides, listing all the available timezones on that machine (using "tzutil /l"), you cannot find "Heure d'été" nowhere in the list of available and valid timezones.

Finally, I've been grepping for "Heure d'" but unfortunately, it's been running for 3 days now and it's still scanning all files on the hard disk for that string.

So I guess my question is:

On Windows 10, where from does MySql 5.7.11 *exactly* get the timezone value from the OS? It does NOT seem MySQL is using the OS timezone to initialize since my timezone can be verified in mutiple was as being "Eastern Standard Time" !

P.S. I have also looked at the my.ini file and all environment variables on Windows (both global and user-specific)...
