Concrete data on mySql ?

I posted the following message on the newbie, but got no answer.
Maybe this forum is the right one to ask:

I'm reading available documentations and whitepapers, but can't reach specific answers to my questions:
1. What are the minimum requirements (cpu,memeory..) for mySql?
2. What are the advatanges in using the embedded version over the regular? I'm looking for specific data, not 'global statements', like - how small is the embedded version's footprint?

Can anyone help / direct me to that data?

Thanks.
