MyISAM only !!

hi
I have some questions here

1- I am using MySQL 5 and I want to use MyISAM engine (the Default) ONLY.
I can do :
skip-bdb for BERKELEYDB .
skip-innodb for InnoDB .
but,what about other engines ? e.g. Memory
how can I disable them?

2- how can I use Named Pipes on windowsXP instead of TCP/IP on the local machine.
I tried using skip-networking but it doesn't work.

3-any idea to reduce using memory&CPU load ?
