"Incorrect key file for table XXXX"

Hallo,

on a mysql replication slave i often get the following error message:

Error 'Incorrect key file for table: 'XXXXX'. Try to repair it'

This error occurs for different tables, but on the same slave. It occurs 1-3 time a week. After doing a "repair table XXXXX" everything is fine.

I suspected a hardware problem, but i did a badblocks -w without errors (bevor installing the system). The provider i rented the server from has done a memtest widthout errors (so he says).

Server is a AMD 64 with the current version of Gentoo Linux.

Kernel logs show no hardware problems.

Any hints?

Thanks & best regards,

Christian.
