It would have been nice if you added this to the thread "Got error 12 when reading table", so that everything for this was in one place.
Well, it happened as I anticipated. MySQL development will deal with "verified" bugs only. MySQL support must not verify without a repeatable test case. But they should have better set this to "Can't repeat" instead of "Not a bug".
To get ahead with this, I added some questions to the bug report. When you have good answers and cannot reopen it yourself, I will ask the support people to look at it again.
