OK.. but i want the search to be performed in CASE INSENSITIVE manner, which is not the case right now and the charactes set is latin1 and NOT laint1_bin.

Y the results are case sensitive? what can i do to make it case Insensitive.

P.S. - when I do->

Show table status;

The table collation is "latin1_swedish_ci"

in all the tables on which I am using fulltext (bollean)
