Show Table Status doesnt show Descreases in table size

Hi All,

I notice Show TAble Size reflects increasing and reports variables right but when data is removed the size variables stay their current value and dont decrease.

Using MyISam tables

mysql Ver 11.18 Distrib 3.23.58, for redhat-linux-gnu (i386)
