Table XXX doesn't exist

We had a DB server go down with our wiki running on it.

When we start mysql backup it all seams fine except the tables are responding with:

if I do a show tables; it says the tables are there

if I do a select * from ac_user

here is the output.

ERROR 1146 (42S02): Table 'ac_wikidb.ac_user' doesn't exist

the ac_user.frm does exist.

any help is great.
