MySQL lock time out exceeds, restart the transaction

We rae using innodb engine, storedprocedure is used for insert, update transactions from web front end. Frequently getting hang situation, the error captured is, locks time exceeds, restart the transaction, error 1205 hy00.
Checked the resource, performance, rverything normal, table is also very small.
Frequent deadlocks happening as saying record lock on index primary.
Please help to resolve the issue.
