Kim,

Even if it is MYSQL server version 5.0.27 we need to create an index for the fields which are referencing some parent table. I faced the same problem and when i corrected the exact data format and ran thescript it created the indexes for the referencing columns also.

This is a big bottleneck. When number of indexes goes up the performance of DB goes down.

in one of my table i have 30 fields inthat near about 25 fields are referencing master fields for data.

Without any data, my row length is 16K and index length is 208K. I am not sure abt the size when i have 100000 rows.
