Help with query needed

Hi everyone,
i am pretty new to MySQL and have a little problem with figuring out how to make a query for a certain table. The table consists of two columns: word_no and example_no. It is very likely that an entry word_no refers to more than one entries in example_nr. Now i would like to find out how many entries with the same example_nr are there for word_nr x AND word_nr y together.
Would be great if you could help me out. Thanks!
