SET DEFAULT in FOREIGN KEY constraint

Hello,

MySQL doesn't support the SET DEFAULT referential action with FOREIGN KEYs because of InnoDB.

What's the reason for that?

I don't see any difference between setting a default ON DELETE or ON UPDATE and a entering some value manually. Why not just generate an error and rollback, which InnoDB can do?
