Hi All,

I am facing a problem and I will be really helpfull if someone please confirm whether "MySQL 5.0 supports Distributed Transaction".

I create a Link Server between SQL Server 2000 (i.e. in Windows 2003 server with SP2,IIS 6) and MySQL 5.0 (i.e also in Windows 2003 server with SP2,IIS 6). I can retrive data but cannot use triggers to insert, update or delete. On insert/update I am getting error:

Server: Msg 7391, Level 16, State 1,
The operation could not be performed because the OLE DB provider 'MSDASQL' was unable to begin a distributed transaction.
OLE DB error trace [OLE/DB Provider 'MSDASQL' ITransactionJoin::JoinTransaction returned 0x8004d00a].

I read various article like (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=306212, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;329332). I follow the steps written there but no solution.

Kindly help?

Regards
Sougata
