Okay, Kim, thanks for your reply.
I experimented a little, and found that for my latest table, it won't even build with MyISAM. It chugs for a while and then complains that sort_buffer_size is too small. But sort_buffer_size is already 16G! I just boosted it to 32G to see what will happen.
Any ideas?
