On a related note, can a mySQL Master and Slave (replica) mount the same disk ?

And secondly, is it possible to backup a Master and multiple Slaves separately ? (So if a disaster occurs on a Master site, then the slave can be used to rollback to the Master)

And thirdly, is there a hot backup mode in mySQL (similar to placing tablespaces in hot backup mode in say Oracle)...

Thanks in advance..
