The question remains open: if the transaction is closed, the lock is only a read lock for the Create As Select. That operation terminates succesfully while the update is waiting, release the lock (otherwise other operations can't run, but if I kill that query, I can perform it succesfully the second time), but the update don't recognize it, neither if the connection of the Create as Select is closed.
