Oh, based on my answer to your other question, do you see how many red flags are raised by this schema?
Here are some more...
* Unnecessarily declaring everything NULL
* Not knowing about SMALLINT and MEDIUMINT
* Not using UNSIGNED where appropriate
* Using lots of UUIDs
* Unrealistically large VARCHARs
* Prefix indexing.
Please do the research what you can, then come back with a revised schema and I will gladly give you more advice/abuse.
(Sorry, this still does not answer the DDL lock.)
