You have just 8 GB RAM, but with these settings MySQL can use up to 5105.5 GB of RAM!

On an even moderately busy system like yours, that will cause swapping, which kills performance.

(The formula for max memory use by MySQL is is innodb_buffer_pool_size + key_buffer_size + ((read_buffer_size + read_rnd_buffer_size + sort_buffer_size + join_buffer_size) X max_connections) ).

Innodb_buffer_pool_size should be no higher than about 75% of RAM depending on other memory uses. Your setting of 23GB is nearly 300% of RAM! Why?
