Re: Maximum row size

I apologise but the MySQL version is 5.5.59 and not 5.6 as I incorrectly stated in my original post.

Thanks for the link to the information about 5.6.20 but unless I'm being very stupid, I can't anything there stating a definitive max row length. I'm wondering if upgrading to MySQL 8.x might help, as I can certainly install this on another server and import the existing databases.

Perhaps PostGreSQL might be a better choice for this particular project since the max record length is stated to be about 1 Gbyte.
