If the table design you posted is at all representative of the DDL you have so far, then if it's me, I'd first move to MySQL 8.0, then lay that DDL aside aside and start again with a method that can produce a robust design, eg like that outlined at
https://www.artfulsoftware.com/dbdesignbasics.html, aiming at a design that's at least Third Normal Form and can support maintainability and performance.
