Spatial data in Mysql and rendering maps ?

Hello!
Today I am using Oracle 10g and the Oracle Servlet MapViewer.
Mapviewer is used to render maps.
If I would like to do the same thing with mysql, render a map from
the spatial data - how would I do that, are there any Open Source applications that
are able to render my spatial data ?
