Distance calculation
Have there been any changes in the 5.x versions that would allow a query based on distance between two points using a spatial index?
The equivalent of a buffer search is what I'm after. Right now, I'm stuck using the Pythagorean Theorem, which works (and isn't absolutely terrible with a covering index), but I have to believe that a spatial index would work better.
