GIS MAP Editor for MySQL-GIS

Hi all,
which editor do you use for editing gis data using mysql server with gis spatial format? neither mapinfo nor esri talk to mysql directly for editing map data. As I don't wan't to import shape files into my mysql db every time they've changed, what's the best practice/software for directly editing mysql map data?
