using mysql 5.0.45, when i try to insert a geometry that aren't valid (i.e., a polygon whose first and last coordinate are not the same) i don't get an error and the column is set to NULL. is this normal? is there an option i can turn on to get mysql to tell me why it wouldn't insert the geometry?
