Hi,

Has any one used the MySQL spatial with UMN (Minesotta Map Server).
I have MySQL 5.1 with spatial. data is migrated from shape files using command prompt tools.
There are 80 layers in my map
I created one Map file and 80 ".ovf" files for each layer.
However when i render the map it doesnt work
then i tried with 20 layer map file and it worked taking a lot of time to display the map.

The same process works great when the database is PostGRES.

I would like to know if there is any optimization in MySQL or in the map / ovf filles.
Also is there any tool to prepare the .map and .ovf files from the MySQL database like QGIS. this could elliminate any mistake in the map file i have written

Also is there any limitation to teh number of layers the MySQL can support.

Thank You,

Deepak
