Yes. There is something to do. But more for us than for you. ;)
A crashing myisamchk is of course a bug. So what you can do: Please file a bug report at
http://bugs.mysql.com/. Please add the .frm .MYI and .MYD files in the form they have right after the myisampack command to the 'Files' section of the bug report. You can hide it from the public if you want. If you can repeat the crash with a fraction of the data, this would be welcome.
