Viewing linestring data....

..hey guys, I was reading through this article...

...and ran the create table and insert statements at the end of the article. The select statements the article offers works OK, but when I do a simple select * from <table> to view all the date, only get giberish/junk characters for the lingstring data. Any idea why that is. The data seems to be there, because I can run select statements that display the plain text columns, but can't see any of the linestring/GIS data.
