Mysql 4.1.7 GIS spatial extension
Anyone has some experience with MySQL GIS functions?I need some help...
I have entered some .shp files to MySQL...one column is GEOMETRY and MULTIPOLyGONS are entered to this fields and are shown as binary if you look into that field...ok....I managed to use SELECT AsText(ogc_geom) as trt FROM test_table
and I got
MULTIPOLYGON(((580764.3 141098.38,580763.03 141109.86,580771.82 141110.87,580773.08 141099.89,580764.3 141098.38)))
which is ok....but as you see the MULTIPOLYGON consists from several points...
is there any SQL way so that I extract POINTS from that MULTYPOLIGON so I don't have to parse the string i got back via programming language?
Any help would be appriciated...
