First of all, a load average does *not* mean how busy a CPU is, it is merely stating how many processes are waiting to be executed. (Usually it means about the same thing, though)

It seems to me that your box is merely waiting for something, and not calculating anything.

only 0.3% of the time your cpu is working on user programs....

99,7% your cpu is waiting for something to happen. (For a harddisk to respond, perhaps?)

But most important what i wanted to say: your top shows your computer is waiting for something, and not really calculating anything.

(Or I'm severly mistaken.....)
