MySQL8.0.16 TPC-C Benchmark on Persistent Memory

Hi there,

Anyone interested in persistent memory (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/memory-storage/optane-dc-persistent-memory.html)?
As I’ve got a 2-socket server equipped with it recently, to begin, I run TPC-C workload with MySQL 8.0.16 InnoDB on it.
Most of mysql/innodb parameters are kept as default, except a few.
Having said that, here is the summary slides showing the benchmark result compared against Intel SATA SSD.

https://www.slideshare.net/techblogyahoo/persistent-memory-performance-benchmark-mysql-tpcc-benchmark-persistentmemory-mysql

Any comments, suggestions, questions about the benchmark, and requests to test a different workload and parameters are more than welcome.
If there is anyone who would like to explore the persistent memory and its application to database technology together, please let me know.

Thank you,

Shohei (Tim)
