The only binaries compiled with the intel compiler are the ones explicitly listed as such in the downloads page. All of the other linux binaries are compiled using regular gcc.
So yes depending on your system and setup, you might see some improvement from manually compiling with the intel compiler. One thing to note is that the intel compiler is quite difficult to get to work correctly, so you might be better off upgrading and using one of the binaries that we have pre-compiled for you. Is there any reason you are using 3.23.51? (which isn't even the most recent version of 3.23??)
