We have customers dealing with much larger than 11G tables so there is no general problem of such sort.
However as usually a lot depends on the application - there are applications when MySQL will easily beat Oracle on such data sizes, there are however when it will be a lot slower.
Check performance with MySQL compare to other databases if you wish and post results to forums - you should get feedback on how stuff can be optimized.
