4.1.x 5 times slower than 4.0x? Is it UTF8 related?
Hi,
We have recently upgraded from 4.0.x to 4.1.11 and all our queries seem to be around 5 times slower. We're pretty certain it has something to do with UTF8 and collation but this is just a guess. We tried everything based on what we read - we set the collation to ut8_bin in the my.cnf attributes, we did alter tables to specifically use utf8 and utf8_bin etc. - still no luck.
What else should we be trying; we reall want our great performance back.
