ENCODE / AES / DES-Performance

Hi,

can anyone make an educated guess about the impact of using ENCODE, AES_ENCRYPT or DES_ENCRYPT functions?

Which cause the most overhead?

I know that they imply different levels of encryption strength but I would be interested in the "price" for them.

Many thanks for your replies,

Thomas
