PERFORMANCE Evolution

I would like a propose an evolutionary change to the mysql database.
currently, mysql has embarked on providing stored procedures for the database. it's a good idea.
My proposal is to allow stored procedures to be written in any cgi language.
just like how apache web server provides methods to call scripts through CGI or DSO module - Mysql should also provide methods to call stored procedures in the form of CGI or DSO modules.
This will make MySQL the most versatile and powerful database in the market. The same way Apache is a webserver has grown while leveraging languages like php, perl, tcl, pyton etc. - MySql will evolve.

Please consider this Non-Oracle method. Do not create a "pl-sql" language for MySql. Open up the stored procedures to the scripting languages already available in the open-source arena.

Best Regards
