Ok Frederic, I understand this.

We have already improved the overall execution time with the config you suggested, so thanks for that.

I just wanted to mention that the symptoms appear with different versions, (even different brands of MySQL if you know what I mean), and since I have a basic desktop PC with Linux Debian 8, and default MySQL installations, I suspect that others can reproduce easily.

BTW I could repro only with CREATE TABLE / DROP TABLE (no INSERT / SELECT)
