I have the same problem. Get great performance locally and no throughput remotely. This problem has been costing me day and night for three weeks now and I can't find the bottleneck.
ODBC seems to end up in the same client LIB as the C-API so I think I know why we both have the same problem although I don't use ODBC.
I have tried everything... Different servers, changed the application more than 1000 times, different networks, different clients, different everything. Tweaked parameters on both client and server - but still, no throughput.
