Well if your database is that size, I would seriously suggest some consulting to sort out any issues you will have getting set up.

With a dataset like that you probably want to look at 5.1, and utilize disk data, so that you dont have to have all of your tables in memory. With 40TB of data though, I can only imagine the remaining huge amount of memory you will need for indexes (which still remain in memory for 5.1)

Have a look for ndb_size.pl and run that accross your schema at least to get some ideas as to what row memory requirements would be. But I would contact MySQL for guidance if your new to NDB cluster.
