Multiple nodes per server and DataMemory

Hi,

I am setting up a cluster with two data servers which have 4 cores and 8GB memory each. I have configured it to run 2 ndbd processes on each server giving me 4 node groups of 2 nodes each. The question I have is for DataMemory settings.

If I have 2 ndbd process running on each of the 2 servers and have allocated 4GB for DataMemory - when I add the second process, should I half the DataMemory or is that at a more global level?

From what I can see the DataMemory is a global for the server and the nodes will contain fragments for each of those, so the fragments will simply be smaller if we add more ndbd processes

TIA Jonathon
