Error 2811

Hi all,
I recently upgraded my cluster from 7.1.18 to 7.2.7 on Red Hat Linux. I was able to start one of my data nodes successfully as the user mysql, when starting the second data node I received this message:
Node 3: Forced node shutdown completed. Occured during startphase 5. Caused by error 2811: 'Received permission denied for file(Configuration error). Permanent error, external action needed'.
When I ran ndbd as root there was no issue.
I looked in my data directory which is located in /data/mysql and the binary install directory which is /opt/mysql/mc/mc7.2.7 . Are there any other locations that I need to look in? What should the permissions, owner and group be for the files? Right now the perms are 770, owner is root, group is mysql.
