Hi ken,
just out of interest, after switching to Diskless, are you still getting the Redo log files overloaded messages?
Also, are you sure all the datanodes have identical settings?
How are you inserting? You could try to insert batches of 1000 rows at a time. Or are you only doing single row inserts?
