Slow commit performance when an SQL node is down

Hi,

I'm evaulating MySQL Cluster for my application. I set up a cluster on virtual machines and experience 3 seconds long COMMITs when one of the two SQL+management nodes is down. When the cluster is fully up my system can handle the test load of 10 transactions per seconds I'm generating. When only one SQL node is up the system can perform less than 1 transaction per second.

Can someone give me a hint on how to investigate the problem I enabled the general log and found out that the COMMIT command is slowed down but I can't find a way to find out the cause.

Thank you
