So what happens if you attempt to run an 8GB DB on 2 nodes? Does it fail? What happens if the DB grows beyond the # that comes out?

ie 8gb * 2 * 1.1 / 2 == 8.8GB of RAM. If I only have 2GB of RAM on each node, what happens? Does it not work? Does it work but is slower?
