I guess you are mean that I want 4 nodegroups with 2 nodes in each, and not the other way around? All nodes in a nodegroup has the same data, and with 4 nodegroups, the data is fragmented over those four, i.e. each node in a nodegroup has about 1 Gb.
With 2 nodegroups and 4 nodes, each machine in each nodegroup has 2 Gb, or a total of 16 Gb, which is not what you were trying to achieve, I guess.
