I do not have time to search for it but somewhere in cluster documentation it was suggested that you can have as many NDB instances per host as you want and it would make sense in my opinion. Anyways, I would be happy if I get it running with single NDB instance.
Thanks for pointing out this guide but it does not work for me because ndb_mgmd does not tolerate ANY 'DataDir=' options in configuration file. As matter of fact it does not allow any comments or whitespace (tabs) either, which seems real weird to me. I tested it also with max-5.0.3 with same result. It seems unlikely but gotta check if VMware may cause this.
