ndb_mgmd security

Hi All,
I have just configured my first MySQL cluster and after some confusion and a much learning it all appears to running well. I am however concerned about security on the management node. Not only does it let me connect as any user from the localhost but also from any other system that has ndb_mgm on it. Obviously once connected I can shutdown nodes, take backups and perform other potentially dubious tasks.
Am I missing something or is there no way to restrict access or at least password it without messing around at a system level?
Thanks,
Paul.
