Bad performance of NDB

Hi

We are setting up a MySQL cluster with the following:

1 - Mgmt node
2 - NDB and API node
3 - NDB and API node

Gigabit Network

We are experiencing really bad performance with the NDB tables. Normally we can process around 1500 requests on HEAP, around 400 on MyISAM but only 80-100 on NDB. We have tried playing around with NDB parameters without luck. We even modified our application to use autocommit=false but only got minor improvements. Are this results expected? Under what conditions does NDB achieve it's best performance?

Any suggestions on any parameters, tuning, etc... will be greatly appreciated.
