Cluster Running on VM's

Hi,

I'm considering replacing some existing MSSQL servers with a MySQL Cluster, due to huge increases in database demand. I work for a SMB and all our servers are hosted at a company that prefers to use virtual machines (VMWare I believe) to host our servers.

From reading the Cluster 5.0 FAQ (http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/faqs-mysql-cluster.html#qandaitem-23-10-1-12) it says that running a cluster on Virtual Machines is not recommended. After evaluating a cluster on some virtual machines I did end up getting several strange errors. Is this a definite 'no' or can you actually run a cluster on virtual machines? (NOTE: I would prefer to run the cluster on physical machines anyway, but our hosting company is being difficult).
