Backup size reduced after upgrading to 4.1.12. Why?

I have just upgraded my 4.1.11 to 4.1.12 and also added more 2 data nodes (now I have got 6 data nodes and 3 API nodes). Before upgrade I have created a backup, which takes 1.2Gb. After upgrade I have started data nodes with --initial and then restored that backup. What is very interesting to me, is that if now I create a backup, it takes only 572Mbytes. Can anyone explain - why? Am I missing some data? Here is the message from management server after backup process (which created a backup dump with size of 572Mb):

Waiting for completed, this may take several minutes
Node 2: Backup 2 started from node 1
Node 2: Backup 2 started from node 1 completed
StartGCP: 619 StopGCP: 660
#Records: 6722892 #LogRecords: 0
Data: 1197925108 bytes Log: 0 bytes
